Cambodia Part 2

Day 1 after arrival, we were fetched to this art gallery/workshop where all the cambodian artist/workers assemble and produce arts: paintings, sculpture and etc which is famous for at Angkor Wat.

It is rather an impressive work done as mostly they use very minimal tool to produce the art works and some even use their bare hands to produce beautiful sculpture and paintings.

In the photo above, the young man was using his bare hand to rub the carvings on the woods. The hand is believed to produce a natural oilment that can smoothen and rub in the shine on their piece of arts...It's a long process which require delicacy and patience...

Next, we visited the area where most of the workers are ladies where they draw paintings of legendary man and woman of the 10-12th century. Paintings of Apsara (goddess) is really very popular here. They are hailed as a creature of both gracefulness and beauty.

This is where the sculpture where golden dust was used to produce that nice piece of paintings...
Workers working on the stone...
Almost done....
Done...this is the examiner who will check the finish product and act as a quality control guy...
